Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Cinema in Motion, the other supporting programme of the San Sebastian Festival together with Films in Progress, will present three films from Egypt, Iraq and Palestine. It will take place on Monday 21 September.
The titles selected for Cinema in Motion 5 are In The Sands Of Babylon (Iraq), by Mohamed Al-Daradji; Beit Sha’ar (Nomad’s Home), by Iman Kamel; and Port Of Memory (Palestine-Germany), by Kamal Aljafari.
Cinema in Motion 5 envisages different kinds of aid, including:
- Mactari mixing auditorium - 15,000 euros in sound mixing services
- Centre National de la Cinématographie (CNC) - 10,000 euros towards the cost of post-production in France.
- Amiens Festival – One 35mm print.
- Fribourg Festival – One 35mm print.
- Titra Film – Subtitling in French or English for a value of 2,500 euros.
