The announcement was made by Eduardo Corcuera, Seville Film Office general manager. Ranging over a 2,500 square-meter exhibition hall in central Seville which allows for about 50 exhibitors, SILE “could still accomodate a few more exhibitors, but basicallt we’re covered”, Corcuera added.
Exhibitors at SILE, which runs parallel to the Seville European Film Festival, include a strong turnout from Spain, led by the Spain and Barcelona/Catalunya Film Commissions, plus commissions from Navarra, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Extramadura.
Among exhibiting companies from abroad are the Mexico, Abu Dhabi, Algarve, Namibia and Buenos Aires Film Commissions.
Participants will also include key European industry orgs such as the European Network of Film Commissions, which is pursuing larger collaboration between commissions over Europe, and the European Producers Club, which will organize a co-roduction forum Nov.7.
SILE will coincide with a several-week shoot in Seville of Fox’s James Mangold-directed action comedy, pairing Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The event will also include a training element, Corcuera added.
