Based on the true story of Thailand?s famed transvestite kickboxer Parinya Charoenphol (affectionately known in Thailand as Nong Toom), Beautiful Boxer narrates his infancy, adolescence and young adulthood. Ever since he was a child, Nong Toom believed he was a girl trapped in a boy?s body, setting out to master the most masculine and lethal sport of Muay Thai (kickboxing), involving the use of both fists and legs, to earn a living and achieve his greatest dream: to become a woman.
