Synopsis
In the Korean War, Lt. Benson is a tough, grizzled officer who is trying to save his weary platoon, and Montana is a sergeant who has to get his shell-shocked colonel back to a field hospital where he can be treated. Benson's transportation is wrecked so he takes Montana's jeep, with the colonel in it, to carry the needed ammunition and other equipment to help his stranded platoon repel the enemy. They discover that almost all the men have died and that the Koreans have taken the hill where Benson left the platoon. Montana and Benson take the hill again and pay homage to their dead companions.
