Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
(USA) Savada is a film historian, specialist in research on film copyright and documentary consultant. For 25 years he has been running the Motion Picture Information Service, in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a research organisation that has offered its services to hundreds of scholars and has helped film and festival archives from all over the world. Together with David J. Skal, he wrote the book "Dark Carnival: The Secret World of Tod Browning", published in Spanish to mark the retrospective that the Donostia-San Sebastián Festival devoted to the American director in 1996, during which he provided invaluable help. He spent 14 years with the American Film Institute, including 8 years compiling "The American Film Institute Catalog of Motion Pictures Produced in the United States: Film Beginnings, 1893-1910", a huge work in two volumes that compiles 17,000 films. He is a regular contributor to www.nitrateonline.com, and he is a member of the Online Film Critics Society and the Association of Moving Image Archivists. He has written numerous articles in "Avotaynu, The International Review of Jewish Genealogy". Next July he will be co-chair of the 23rd International Conference on Jewish Genealogy in Washington D.C.
