Synopsis
Awards
John and Donner are two hustlers who work the pavement of West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard. Their makeship friendship is the only thing they have to rely on in a hostile world. John wakes up in a park one morning and discovers that someone has made off with his money and his lucky sneakers, in spite of the fact that he had them on. The next day is not only his birthday, it's Christmas, and John is determined to fulfill his dream for the day - to spend the night in one of the city's luxury hotels. All he needs to do is come up with three hundred dollars. Donner decides to help him fulfill his birthday wish.
