Synopsis
Two film stars, Don Lockwood and Linda Lamont, are applauded by their fans on arrival at the premiere of one of their Hollywood films. Times are changing, these are the late 20s, the introduction of talking films is inevitable. Don and Linda have to adapt themselves, but she has a serious defect: her voice is terrible. The problem is solved in the shape of dubbing by newly-arrived Kathy Selden. While Linda gets all the praise, Kathy has to take stay in the background, until Don falls in love with her and ends up unmasking Linda.
