Synopsis
A high-ranking Soviet officer, general Vasiliev, goes to visit Budapest where Commanding Officer Igor Solov organizes a concert by the Hungarian pianist, Pulac Andras, in his honour. But Andras refuses to play and Solov, for all his weight, is unable to make him change his mind. Those who do succeed, however, are the leaders of the Hungarian resistance, who have organized an uprising due to start right in the middle of the concert: the plan is that, when Andras starts playing "Rhapsody Number 6 ", the rebels previously planted in the audience will take the officials prisoner, while the rebellion spreads from city to city.
