Two bank robbers, Rio and longworth, have a posse of Mexican police after them. Rio holds them off while Longworth goes to get a fresh horse. Instead he disappears with the loot. After five years in jail, Rio escapes with a partner, Modesto, and they make it to Monterrey, where they encounter Mongworth, now a sheriff. Rio feigns lasting friendship and denies having been capture. Secretly hankering for revenge, he seduces Longworth's step-daugther, Luisa, and later reveals his true feelings in a most brutal manner.
