Gregory, a charming pianist, woos and wins Paula while she is holidaying in Italy. He then suggests that they go to London and reopen a house left by her aunt, who was mysteriously murdered there some time before. Ar first they are very happy, but a series of odd happenings cause Paula to doubt her own sanity. Meanshile, a Scotland Yard detective grows suspicious as to the goings-on in the house and reopens the case of paula's aunt's unsolved murder.
