Francesca is a woman who lives alone, separated from her husband. Her life seems devoid of promise until, while walking on the road, she finds and injured young man, Stefano, who has just been hit by a car. Stefano, whom Francesca took to the hospital, recovers from a coma obsessed with the memory of Francesca. He finds her and falls in love with her. However, the differences in their ages causes her to question the wisdom of starting a relationship.
