Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
A writer is commissioned to write a script about sexism. The director tells Oscar that the film should serve to make those who see it aware of his sexism. Oscar goes to the port of Havana to elaborate among the workers the basis of the argument. Lina is a surprisingly empowered and politically sensitive worker. The writer, who is married, falls in love with her, creating a strong personal conflict for her. While the work is being developed, Oscar discovers some realities that are interesting to him and wants to include them in the script. However, the director disagrees. He starts from a preconceived scheme and wants cinema to get closer to reality. He will not carry out his project. And it will be seen that Oscar, despite the fact that he is aware of what sexismis, will be "up to a certain point." The theme of the film is therefore a conglomerate of the different points of view between men and women, intellectuals and workers, bureaucrats and trade unionists.
