Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Also to contend for the City of Donostia / San Sebastian Audience Award are the debuts from Guillermo Galoe, Hasan Hadi and the duo formed by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han
Richard Linklater will open the section with ‘Nouvelle Vague’ and Rebecca Zlotowski will close it with ‘Vie privée / A Private Life’
The film ‘Un fantasma en la batalla’ and the series ’Anatomía de un instante’ will participate in the Official Selection out of competition
The feature films ‘Karmele’ and ‘Flores para Antonio’ and the series ‘Zeru ahoak’ and ‘La suerte’ will feature as part of the Special Screenings
The debuts from Irati Gorostidi Agirretxe and José Alayón will compete in the New Directors section
The jury is made up of former RTVE president Elena Sánchez Caballero, director Juana Macías and producer and programmer Paz Lázaro
The City Council and the Festival will distribute 1,000 free tickets among the unemployed
‘Marco’, by Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi, will close the section, also to show ‘The Wild Robot’ and ‘Maria Callas: Letters and Memories’ out of competition
The debut from Celine Song, ‘Past Lives’, and the second movie from Stéphanie Di Giusto, ‘Rosalie’, will also compete for the City of Donostia / San Sebastian Audience Award
‘The Zone of Interest’ will open the section and the latest film from Ladj Ly, ‘Bâtiment 5’, will close it out of competition
