Driver moonlights as a stunt double by day and speed demon by night, and Shannon is his mentor and boss. A loner, Driver holds little enthusiasm for the jobs Shannon lands him. But his world changes the day he meets his neighbour Irene in the lift. This interlude in Driver?s life ends abruptly when Standard, Irene?s husband, is released early from jail for good behaviour. Driver backs off, respecting Irene?s wish to keep her family together. But when he comes across Standard slumped and bloodied in the garage with his son Benicio terrified beside him, Driver finds himself becoming far more involved in Irene?s life.
