Synopsis
Cast & Crew

Again Rahmat has been assigned to travel to several islands for a job in which he has been engaged for many years. He has been asked to meet the inhabitants of these islands to collect their tears. Although for years people have been giving their tears to Rahmat, no one knows exactly what he has been doing with them.

Mohammad Rasoulof

Shiraz (Iran), 1972. Studied Sociology and started as a moviemaker with a series of short films. His first feature film was a docudrama entitled Gogooman (The Twilight, 2002), screened at several festivals including Locarno and Montreal. Iron Island (2005), his second film, was selected for the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and landed the Special Jury Prize at the Gijón Festival. Having made the documentary Head Wind (2008), The White Meadows is his third feature.
