TVE-ANOTHER LOOK AWARD - RULES

1. Among the principal functions of TVE as a public service company is to foster equality between people, no matter what their sex, race or religion; backing artistic creation in any form and facilitating knowledge of potentially interesting films and audiovisual works. 
   
    
2. In this context, and with a view to helping to eliminate all discriminatory barriers, promoting social and labour inclusion and facilitating equal opportunities, TVE has decided –as part of  activities at the San Sebastian International Film Festival– to create an Award entitled “ANOTHER LOOK”.
   
   TVE wishes to reward a cinema focussing on subjects related to the female world; directed, starring or written by women. Or by men whose films show particular sensitivity towards the world in question. Films, at the end of the day, demonstrating the point of view, concerns and needs, desires and yearnings of 50% of the population. A female universe which doesn’t always find it easy to express itself.
   
    
3. A jury specially created for the occasion will grant the “ANOTHER LOOK” Award to one of the films presented in any section of the San Sebastian International Film Festival and having a purpose corresponding to that stated above.
   
    
4. This Award will consist of acquiring the right to broadcast the film on television for the general public. TVE shall negotiate directly with the owners of the winning film in order to draw up the appropriate contract, based on the conditions established in the San Sebastian International Film Festival General Rules of participation.
   
    
5. The San Sebastian International Film Festival shall provide TVE, in good time, with the list of potential candidates for this Award.
   
    
6. Similarly, the San Sebastian International Film Festival shall allow the members of the jury corresponding to the “ANOTHER LOOK” Award to view these films at screenings in cinemas assigned for this purpose.
   
    
7. TVE shall announce the winner of its “ANOTHER LOOK” Award during the events taking place at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
