Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Today we announced the definitive list of finalists for the online poster competition called by the San Sebastian Festival.
Both the finalists and all of the posters entered can be found on the competition website: www.sansebastianfestival.com/postercompetition
Since February 22, the public has cast votes for their favourite posters from among the total of 1,620 entered in the categories: New Directors, Horizontes Latinos, Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, Pearls and Culinary Zinema.
Thanks to this public vote, with 5.655 users who cast 61.592 votes, 10 finalists were selected in each category. Added to these are the ones selected by the organisation, bringing the definitive number of finalists for each section.
The winning posters will be publicly announced at a news conference on May 12 (and not on May 5 as it was said before). They will also be published on the Festival website and the specific competition site. The same day the official poster will be announced (it will be selected among the proposals presented by 10 studies invited to participate).
The prizes will be drawn among all voters on May 16.
