Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The Asociación de Informadores Cinematográficos de España (Spanish Cinematographic Informers Association) and the San Sebastian Festival have come to an agreement under which, as from this year 2014, the voice of the press will enjoy greater presence than ever in our country's most important film festival. Informers and critics accredited by the Festival and belonging to the AICE will grant the Feroz Zinemaldia Award to the best film in the official selection by voting in person on the second last day of the Festival, Friday 26 September 2014. The Feroz Zinemaldia Award will be announced on Saturday 27, the same day the awards decided by the jury are disclosed.
The winning film, which will receive an award taking its inspiration from the statuettes presented in January at the I Feroz Awards, will be announced at a public event in San Sebastián. At this call, the Management Committee of AICE will forward certain details of the II Feroz Awards ceremony, to take place in January 2015. This ceremony will be the first public event of the association's new management body, to be formed as the result of an electoral process currently underway.
The Asociación de Informadores Cinematográficos de España is a diverse group of more than 170 journalists and critics dedicated to informing on cinema in different media (TV, radio, press and the Internet) across the country.
